When a loan goes into default, banks often outsource recovery to Debt Recovery Agents (DRAs). While they have a job to do, they must operate within strict RBI ethical boundaries.

The Fair Practices Code: Agents cannot call you before 8 AM or after 7 PM.

No Harassment: Intimidation, social humiliation, or calling your relatives is a direct violation of RBI guidelines.

Privacy Rights: Lenders must respect your privacy and cannot leak your debt details to third parties.
